BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD

Hushpuppy is an intrepid six year old girl who lives with her father, Wink, in "Bathtub", a fictional bayou community on an island surrounded by water .She takes care of some pets such as pigs, chickens and dogs, some of them will become later in her food she says that the children who don´t have any parents live in the forest and they eat grass. She has to cook because she lives alone in a poor house, one day she causes a fire and her house burns. At school her teacher has taught her that all animals are flesh and all, including humans can be feast of others. Wink is a heavy drinker, who verbally abuses her since his wife left him and teaches her to survive by herself; he trains her for when the day comes that he can not protect her. Hushpuppy's force is tested when Wink contracts a mysterious illness and a storm flooded the community with the help of a nearby dam. In the rich imagination of hushpuppy these events are connected to the melting of the icebergs that free archaic beast, giant boar called "Aurochs" with bull horns. Despite attempts to rescue the community from the government, Hushpuppy, Wink, and other residents return to "Bathtub". With the arrival of the Aurochs and the deteriorating health of his father, hushpuppy looks for her lost mother.
